Social science databases contain publications on social policies for countries other than the United States and also policy comparison between/among states and among countries,. When run searches, in addition to use the keywords that describe your topic, you can combine your search terms with the name of a country. For example: "Child Welfare AND Canada". - CLASP: Policy Solutions that Work for Low-Income People - Nonpartisan, the organization provides up-to-date information and in-depth analysis in welfare and social policy. Funding for welfare in each state can be found here.
- Governing - A subsidiary of the Times Publishing Co. of St. Petersburg, Florida. The site provides intelligence and analysis on management, policy and politics to help guide and inspire innovative leaders across state and local government.
- National Center for Policy Analysis - a nonprofit, nonpartisan public policy research organization. Topics on the site included reforms in health care, taxes, Social Security, welfare, criminal justice, education and environmental regulation.
- Stateline.org- a nonprofit, nonpartisan online news site that practices journalism in the public interest by reporting on emerging trends and issues in state policy and politics.
- StateMaster- a unique statistical database which allows you to research and compare a multitude of different data on US states.
