STAGING SERVER: Library Privileges For Visitors & Community

While access to the MD Anderson Library is open to the public, borrowing privileges are only available in certain instances. Associates Cards are available for purchase at the Service Desk, located on the 1st floor. Residents of Texas are eligible to borrow up to four (4) circulating items from the UH Libraries at no charge with a TexShare card. Please visit your home library to get a TexShare card before coming to UH as you must have the card with you to borrow materials.

UH (main campus)visitors are welcome to use the UH Libraries electronic resources (with the exception of SciFinder Scholar) from within the M. D, Anderson Library or any of its branches. Contracts and licensing agreements prohibit us from making these resources available remotely. Links to Open Access (i.e., freely available) journals are on the Visitors and Community page.

Houston area residents are reminded that both the Houston Public Library (HPL) and the Harris County Public Library (HCPL) provide remote access for their card-holders to many of the same databases that are available at UH. See the HPL and HCPL sites for lists of their available databases and how to access them.
