Find Special Collections Materials in the UH Libraries Catalog
Books and journals held by Special Collections can be found in the library catalog.
The following location codes indicate books that are held in Special Collections: ANDERSON/SPEC COLL, ANDERSON/SPEC COLL OVS, and ANDERSON/SPEC COLL REF.
When searching by title, journal title, author, or subject, you can easily limit the results of your search to items held by Special Collections:
- Enter your search term as usual. Once you have received a list of results, click the blue "Limit Results" button near the top of the screen.
- A new page will come up. On this page, go to "Where located" and select "Anderson Library" from the drop-down menu. Then go to "Subcollection" and select "Spec Coll" from the drop-down menu.
- Click "Submit."
- A new page will come up, displaying all of the materials relevant to your search which are held in Special Collections.
When searching by keyword(s), you can also limit the results of your search to Special Collections:
- Enter the keyword(s) you are looking for in the search boxes.
- On the same screen, go to "Location" and select "Anderson Library" from the drop-down menu. Then go to "Subcollection" and select "Spec Coll" from the drop-down menu.
- Click the lower of the two blue "Search" boxes.
- A new page will come up, displaying all of the materials relevant to your search which are held in Special Collections.
