The M.D. Anderson Library is home to the Learning Commons, a unit that caters to the high-end multimedia and collaborative needs of students, staff, and faculty of the University of Houston. This space not only provides a wide array of digital media creation resources, but also affords patrons an opportunity to learn about new technology, receive assistance with specialized research software, and collaborate on projects with one another in a space conducive to cooperative work. Our friendly staff is available to help with any questions or assistance you may need. The Learning Commons provides tools to maximize the potential of student projects and research activities.

The Learning Commons is in the middle of a big expansion and will soon double the amount of computers available. There will be more PCs and Macs, due to popular demand. We will soon offer digital SLR cameras, handheld HD video cameras, as well as a wide-format printer for your presentation and project needs. Come in soon to see the new space!

The presentation rehearsal room and all of the computers in the Learning Commons are available for reservation at the link below as well as at the Learning Commons front desk. Reservations may be made up to 1 week in advance and are in 2 hour increments. All you need is a CougarNet account to log in to the reservation website!
