Renew Checked Out Items
- Books may be renewed at the Service Desk or by clicking on the My Account link, located in the box in the upper right portion of the UH Library Catalog page.
- Patrons must have their library card to renew materials in person
- Patrons may renew materials by phone: (713) 743-9710
- Patrons receive a maximum of 3 renewals
- TexShare patrons receive a maximum of 1 renewal
- The renewal due date will vary from 3 weeks, one semester, or one year, depending on the patron's status
- The following materiials may not be renewed:
- Reserve books
- Textbooks
- Videos
- Laptops
- Books that are on hold for another patron
- Leisure Reading books
- Books that have been renewed 3 times
- Renewals that are not accepted will display a message, such as "Too many renewals", "Book on hold for another patron", or "Unable to renew". Patrons whose records are blocked/stopped or who have fines over $10.00 may not renew items.
